What Say Our Client
Fort Coenraadsburg or Conraadsburg, also Fort São Tiago da Mina, is a small Portuguese chapel built in honor of Saint Jago and it is situated opposite the Elmina Castle in the Central region of Ghana, to protect Fort Elmina from attacks. Built about 300 meters from the Elmina Castle, the fort that was initially built to be a chapel was converted to a watch tower which served as a base of attack on the Elmina Castle by the Dutch. It also served as a form of prison for European convicts in those days.
