Description
Buipe is an important water transportation hub and the only functioning and active inland port in northern Ghana. It serves as the docking point for the Volta Queen and other waterway traffic operated by the Volta Lake Transport Company. Busy scenes are seen at the port during the periods that the Volta Queen and others dock to offload and load wares from and to southern Ghana
